Your Instagram account is the business. We treat it that way.
PeerSeek Auto DM runs on Meta's official Instagram API, connects through Instagram's own secure login, and follows Instagram's messaging rules to the letter. Here's exactly how, and how to verify any tool that wants access to your account.
Instagram's rules, followed to the letter.
Meta publishes exactly what DM automation is allowed to do. Safe tools follow these rules; risky tools work around them. Auto DM was built inside them from day one.
Reply-only, never cold
Meta's Instagram API only permits messages after a user acts first: a comment, story reply, or DM. Auto DM works exactly this way. It never messages strangers, never scrapes follower lists, never cold-DMs.
The 24-hour window
Instagram allows automated replies inside a 24-hour window after a user's interaction. Auto DM respects it automatically, so you never have to think about it, and your account never violates it.
Rate limits, respected
Instagram paces automated messaging (around 200 automated DMs per hour per account). Auto DM queues and paces sends within Meta's documented limits, so a viral reel never looks like spam.
OAuth only, never your password
You connect through Instagram's own secure login. PeerSeek receives a revocable token scoped to messaging, and never sees or stores your password. You can disconnect any time from your Instagram settings.
How to verify any Instagram automation tool.
Your Instagram account can't be replaced. Before giving any tool access, including ours, run it through this checklist. PeerSeek passes every item, and we want you to check.
Partner claims can be verified in Meta's public directory: facebook.com/business/partner-directory
- 1
Does it connect through Instagram's official login (OAuth)? If it asks you to type your Instagram password on their site, walk away.
- 2
Does it only reply to people who engaged first? "Unlimited cold DMs" or "DM anyone's followers" is a ban waiting to happen.
- 3
Is it a web platform, not a browser extension or downloadable bot? Extensions and bots simulate a human at the keyboard, and Instagram's systems are built to catch exactly that.
- 4
Does it work only with Business/Creator accounts? That's an official-API requirement. Tools that run on personal accounts are bypassing the API.
- 5

Questions, answered
Is PeerSeek's Instagram Auto DM approved by Meta?
PeerSeek Auto DM is built on Meta's official Instagram messaging API, the documented and approved channel for DM automation, and accesses Instagram only through permissions Meta grants after app review. You connect via Instagram's own OAuth login, and PeerSeek never asks for your password.
Will using Auto DM get my Instagram account banned?
Instagram bans accounts for unofficial automation: password-based bots, browser extensions, scrapers, and cold-DM spam. Auto DM does none of these. It replies only to people who engage with you first, inside Instagram's 24-hour messaging window, paced within Instagram's rate limits. That is precisely the behaviour Instagram's API is designed for.
What permissions does PeerSeek get on my account?
Only messaging-related API permissions needed to read the comments/story replies that trigger your automations and to send your replies. PeerSeek cannot post as you, follow/unfollow, like, or change your profile. The connection is a revocable token. You can disconnect PeerSeek at any time from your Instagram settings and the access ends immediately.
Why do some automation tools get accounts banned?
Because they don't use the official API. They log in with your password and simulate human taps, run browser extensions, or send DMs to people who never interacted with you. Instagram's anti-spam systems detect that behaviour, and its Terms of Use explicitly prohibit it. Meta has shut down and sued such services for years. Instagress and Mass Planner are famous examples.
How do I verify any Instagram tool's claims?
Check three things: the tool connects via Instagram's official OAuth login rather than asking for your password; it only automates replies to users who engaged first; and the company is publicly identifiable. For partner claims, Meta maintains a public Business Partner directory at facebook.com/business/partner-directory where you can search a company's name.
